Week 2:
Course Basics
This
week you will form teams and get into more depth about the interdependence
of the Earth 's systems. Be sure to follow all the links to get the information
you need to complete your assignments.
Assignments
- Meet your team. Go
to the Classroom then
to Course Space to see what team you are
on. Teams consist of four, five, or six members.
- Name your team as
practice in consensus-building that
you will do in Week 6.
- Identify a natural
event in the news (Earth
Week web site) or in your local area and describe how the
event in terms of the sphere interactions. List your ideas in
the same way as the Yellowstone fires event in An
Introduction to Earth System Science. Post your description
in Course Space in the Classroom.
- Continue preparing
to build the terrarium (week 3)
by collecting soil and containers.
