Week A: Teacher As Researcher—TEAM
Criteria-Building Goal & Rubric (Week
4,7,10,13
)
Goal: To develop criteria for effective concept-building activities
using consensus with your team.
Assignment: Now that you have tried out some activities in your
classroom, reflected on their characteristics, and come up with your own
criteria for what makes an activity effective for concept-building, your
team is ready to come up with ONE set of criteria to use. During Week
4, you come up with the criteria, but you can refine and revise them in
the first week (Weeks 7, 10, and 13) of each of the remaining cycles.
The key to building consensus is to start with the goal and requirements.
See Learning Cooperatively for the details
you need to be successful.
Remember to contribute to the Teacher
as Researcher Discussion.
Submit your team criteria
to the Portfolio for a grade.
